Johnathan Leon Bates was born December 7, 1988 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, to the union of Kenneth and Vickie Lawson Bates. Johnathan tragically left this walk of life in the early morning hours of August 10, 2021, making his stay in this life 32 years, 8 months, and 3 days.

He grew up in the Vine Street community playing kickball, baseball, and football. The friends that were always around would be too numerous to try to name.
