The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers volleyball team hosted a match with the Hampshire Lady Hawks on Thursday, September 2nd.

In the first set of the match, it was Hampshire that came out with an early lead, but the Lady Panthers fought back and turned the set into a back-and-forth battle. Late in the first set Hampshire capitalized on errors that built a point-run and lead to finish off the first set 25-18. The second set of the match was another tight set as teams matched point for point before the Lady Hawks were able to open up a lead on their way to a set win 25-21. In the third set both teams again matched points until Hampshire again was able to put a little space between the two teams and take a set win 25-22, and take the match 3-0.

Cabry Hill had 21 hits, 2 digs, and an ace for Lewis County in the match. Mya Siever had 16 hits, Madasyn Durham 7 hits, 4 digs, and 3 aces, Aly Stutts 9 hits, 6 aces, and a dig, Isabel Greve 3 hits and 3 aces, and Serenity Warman 2 aces.

At Mt. Pleasant

The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers volleyball team travelled to Mount Pleasant to faceoff with the Lady Tigers on Tuesday, September 7th.

The Lady Tigers took command of the opening set of the match, opening up a lead and cruising to a first set win by a score of 25-14. After a break, the Lady Panthers regrouped and bounce back to take the lead and secure a second set win in a close final, 25-22 to even the match at 1-1. Lewis County built on the momentum in the third set of the match, riding point runs and pulling out to a lead before taking the third set 25-18. The host Lady Tigers found momentum at home in the fourth set of the match as they pulled out and opene up a lead on their way to evening up the match 2-2 with a fourth set win 25-15. In the fifth and deciding set of the match, Lewis County and Mt. Pleasant played even early in the set before a Lady Panther rally to take the lead and win the final set 15-11 and the match 3-2.

Cabry Hill had 24 hits, 2 digs, and an ace in the win. Mya Siever had 16 hits, Aly Stutts 9 hits and 6 aces, Madasyn Durham 7 hits, 3 digs, and 2 aces, Serenity Warman 9 hits and 2 aces, and Isabel Greve 3 hits and 3 aces.

At Collinwood

The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers volleyball team travelled to Collinwood on Thursday, September 9th to take on the Collinwood Lady Trojans.

The Lady Trojans took the match at Lewis County earlier in the season in 3 straights sets, and the first set at Collinwood was a close, competitive set. In a back-and-forth opening set of play it was the host Lady Trojans that pulled away late on their way to a 25-22 first set win. The Lady Panthers struggled after the break, finding themselves playing from behind to the Lady Trojans and dropping the second set of the match by a score of 25-14 to give Collinwood a 2-0 lead moving into the third set. In what would be the final set of the match, the Lady Panthers fought to stay in the game but Collinwood finished off the set 25-20 to take the match 3-0.

Cabry Hill had 17 hits and 1 kill in the match, Madasyn Durham 11 hits and 6 digs, Mya Siever 9 hits, Aly Stutts 7 hits, 2 aces, and a kill, Serenity Warman 4 hits, and Presly Hill 1 ace.
