A preacher walked into the Herald office. With faithful interest, he answered 'Question on the Street' by saying, "Do you know Jesus?"

The street pollster had been stumped on what to ask next, so people were asked what they would ask. The religious question was asked in Lewis and Lawrence counties.

Everybody knows Jesus, according to the poll conducted early this month. The survey was conducted with what, in retrospect, appears now to be a realistic expectation; that the results would be unanimous. This 'Street Question' poll was conducted with respect and only with people who had time and personal willingness to participate.

"Yes. I hope everybody finds the love and comfort from Jesus," said Dawn Anderson. Donna Wedlake said "Yes." Wayne Gladden said "Oh, yes." Ruben Correa said "Si" and Lisa Gray put it this way, "Oh yes. I know him as my Lord and savior, and I love him very much."

There is unanimity in Hohenwald on that.
