Oktober Heritage Festival

September 30, 2021

The Chamber of Commerce’s Oktober Heritage Festival is scheduled for this weekend, September 8th and 9th, Friday and Saturday so get out those walking shoes because there will be miles and miles of craft & yard sales.

That is not the only source of entertainment for that weekend. There will be live music, a kids corner and there will be the Lewis County Cancer Victim Fund’s Car and Truck Show as well as the Big Rig Show.

The Third Annual Car and Truck Show will be from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday morning at the Courthouse lawn on 110 Park Avenue North. The car and truck show is put on the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund who utilizes all the proceeds to help locals battling cancer to pay for their trips to and from the hospital with $30 per trip for 55 trips for each person per application year. They also help cancer victims by paying up to $1,000 on prescription cost for each person per application year.

The Big Rig Show will also be held, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Court St. behind the Courthouse. More will be printed on the Festival in next week’s paper.
