Helen Garrett, of Paris, formerly of Hohenwald, passed from this life to her eternal one on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the age of 86.

Helen was born on May 24, 1935, in Hickman County to Emmett Bates and Nettie Willis. She was married to the love of her life, Joe Garrett, until his passing several years ago. Helen worked for several different factories in Hohenwald but eventually opened her store in town, Helen's Lamps. She owned and operated that business until her retirement.
