Roger Dale Shirley, age 72, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, died Monday, November 1, 2021 at Amita Health Care in Bolingbrook.

Mr. Shirley was a life long musician, having played the drums and a lead vocals singer with several bands in and around the Chicago area. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earnest and Alice Jewel Pigg Shirley.

Survivors include wife, Susan Shirley; daughters, Melinda Fuller (Casey), Kimmy Hayes (Greg), Amanda Shirley, Samantha Murdock (Randy), Brittany Adcock; sons, George Shirley, Austin Grant Shirley; sisters, Alice Cagle (Danny), Virginia Thornton (David); brothers, Robert Shirley (Linda), William Shirley (Jennifer), Milton Teer (Melissa); 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were Wednesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Crawford officiating.
