March 26, 1943 ~ December 28, 2021

On December 28, 2021, Billie Jo Broadway Bartholomew passed away at her Hohenwald home at the age of 78. She was born in Hohenwald on March 26, 1943, to the late Billy Pope "Preacher" and Celia Moore Broadway.

Mrs. Billie Jo was also preceded in death by her brother, Allen Buell Broadway and her beloved first granddaughter, Jessica (Brandon) Wright.

On July 22, 1961, she married her one and only, Jim Bartholomew and raised two beautiful daughters. There was never a doubt how much she cared for all her family. She was a loving, giving, selfless caregiver.

Billie Jo was known for her creative artistry. Everyday items that spoke to her creative mind were repurposed into art. There were always projects, many finding their way into the front yard. Not only was she a creative artist but was also just as creative in the kitchen, often leaving her family to guess the mystery ingredient of the day. They shared many laughs with each other and friends over the dinner table throughout the years.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Billie Jo is survived by her daughters, Jami (Doug) Spears and Helen (Anthony) Ozier; grandchildren, Drew (Katelyn) Ozier, Chance (Khrysten) Fielder, and Eli Daniel Ozier; great-grandchildren, J.J. Wright, Conner Wright, and Lyla James Ozier. She also leaves behind her niece, Joyce Webb, and her nephew, Don Baker.

Visitation and services were Sunday, January 2, 2022, in the chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation Services with Bro. Steve Keeton and Judge Mike Hinson officiating.
