Well, we have had our third snow and it was a really good one. There was between eight and nine inches in lots of places and the trees were all bent over and some broke causing the power to be off most of the day on Sunday. So, no internet or tv or any other ways to do church if you could not get out to go and most places were closed, cancelling services both morning and evening. Not a lot of traffic on the road but there were a few who challenged it and some who had to feed cattle that got out. The farmers and those with cattle do not get a day off when it snows. Instead there is extra work to do as there has to be hay and feed put where they can get it. We’re very thankful for those who work the roads and power lines for getting our power back on before late night. It was beginning to get cold in the house although I have a gas heater for backup. Hope that you were safe and warm, many like us just brought out sleeping bags and extra blankets and quilts and covered up to stay warm. The girls did go out once to get some snow and we had snow cream, had been years since I had made any.

Children now have a new break from school with the snowfall on Sunday and there was about nine inches in places. The woods looked like a winter wonderland with snow everywhere and the roads were covered for a while but then the truck with blades and a salt truck came along and you could travel if you needed to. I had no desire to get out in all of that but couldn’t because a piece of cedar tree fell right behind my truck at the garage and so I was stuck but that was okay. I didn’t want to be out anyway. My grandson, Jesse Eastep, came this morning and cut the worst of it out of the way and if need be, I can get out. Thankful for my grandchildren who help with things when I need them.

Prayers for you and your family to be safe during all this winter weather and hope you stay warm and have plenty to eat and water to keep you hydrated. Remember to pray for those who are sick and shut-in that you know of and visit if you can or send a card or call them.
