On Sunday, January 30, 2022 the Lewis County Tennessee Elks Lodge #2883 traveled to the Middle Tennessee District meeting in Gallatin.

During the meeting, the Lewis County Elks Lodge, which is the newest Tennessee lodge, received the 2021-2022 "Grand Exalted Rulers Award For Excellence." The award was given for meeting the challenge of having a full complement of Elected and Appointed Officers. None of whom are Past Exalted Rulers, and by their actions they have shown that Elkdom's Future within their community is very bright.

The award was presented to Bret Hankins, Exalted Ruler, by Alaric Crouch, Past District Deputy and State FRS Coordinator.
