A silver car parked at Harper's Carpet was struck by a black Pontiac Tuesday morning, March 1, around 7:30. Lewis County Sheriff Department and Lewis County Fire and Rescue responded. The Pontiac was trying to pass a vehicle on Summertown Highway when it struck the parked silver car. Maury Regional Medical Emergency Service personnel transported the injured. The accident also resulted in some damage to Harper's Carpet building. Taylor's Wrecker Service was called to tow the damaged vehicles.
