They talk about the weather in Tennessee, but we have really had some odd weather the last couple of weeks. We had rain with it 33 degrees and then ice freezing on the trees while it was still raining pretty hard at times, but no ice on ground or on roads. Then there was also thunder and lightning with it at times. We are promised a good week if the weather people know what they are talking about and I really hope so with the children beginning ball practice and especially when it is after dark for some of the teams.

Bowen, Dorothy Brown, Teresa Capps, Colby Carroll, Gertie Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, William Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell, Buffy Farnsworth, Wilburn Franks, Connie Lindsey, Labri Kendricks, Lyda Mae Hooper, Florine Johnston, Monette King, Colben Ly, Raquel Mallari, Linda Mercer, Greg McCann, Mike McCann, Jackie McFall, Norene O’Kelly, Betty Odom, Donna Owen, Pam Pullman, Colene Rasbury, John Rawdon, Marsha Runions, Mona Runions, Joe Shipp, Nell Skelton, Madelyn Tharp, Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, and Annette Williams. We wish a happy birthday to Roque Hammack and Neci Baker the 6th, Jackie Holt the 7th, Donna Hinson the 8th, and Wesley Carroll, Kerrigan Reeves, and Jessica James the 10th. Wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones - Deloris Ann Barnes, Edith Alberta Dyer Talbert, Harvey Ray Moore, Ray Keith Barber, Jeffery Todd Duke, Shirley Reeves, James Wilson Hassell, William “Bill” Lee Corter, and Sherry Marie Morgan. Prayers for all these families and any others that we may not know about.

We should all be praying for those nations where there is turmoil and fighting, especially where there is bombing and such vast destruction. It makes it hard on everyone in these areas, especially children. Remember those and others in your prayers and just remember that this could happen to our nation.

The Girl Scouts would like to thank each and everyone who helped make our cookie sale a success this year. Most of our booth sales were held during extremely cold weather but as far as I know none of the girls suffered from being out in it. We also thank those stores that allowed the girls to sell at their location.

As you go through life remember those who are sick or shut-in and cannot be out and visit if you can or make a phone call or send a card. This lets them know that someone cares for them. Praying that your family will be blessed with good health and happiness during the coming days. We have now reached the third month in the new year and praying that this will be a good year.
