Ms. Adkins' Kindergarten Class and Jaimee Troutt

The Lewis County Public Library and Archives received an unusual interlibrary loan request from LCES Library to help the school celebrate Read Across America Week. Instead of borrowing a book, Librarian Cissy Riley borrowed Library Assistant Jaimee Troutt to come read to several of the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes.

Over the course of the week, Jaimee Troutt read to a total of 158 students and faculty from eight different classes. Children listened to the stories "There's a Wocket in my Pocket" by Dr. Seuss and "A Giraffe and a Half" by Shel Silverstein. In addition to stories, children...
