Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Hohenwald Springfest will host a variety of craft vendors, delicious food trucks, live music, and more at this year’s event on Friday, May 6th and Saturday May 7th at Lewis County Memorial Park. New this year is an official opening ceremony on Friday, May 6th at 11:00am that will feature a performance by the Lewis County High School Band. There will also be a Storytellers Contest on Friday for local residents to share entertaining stories to compete for awards. A cakewalk event is planned for Saturday with delicious treats and fun prizes.
“With no event in 2020 due to the pandemic, and last year’s event being fully outside, we have made changes to this year’s Springfest that will draw more spectators for our vendors,” states Kelly Medford, Friends of the Library president. “The first fifty visitors each day to our Friends booth will get a $5 voucher to spend at any craft booth.” Vendors will be under and around the new 4H Agriculture Pavilion in the park, and Dauntless Archery Tag will be close to the ballfields for some fun tag games.
Hohenwald Springfest is held each year to benefit the library’s summer reading program expenses. For information about Springfest and the Storyteller’s Contest, stop by the library or visit http://www.hohenwaldspringfest.com online.
