It seems that spring is here, but I believe there will be one more if not two cool spells before we really can relax and feel like spring. It is still cool at night sometimes, but the days have been warm most of the days. Many have gardens already producing the early products like lettuce, radishes, and other like plants and even some up that will produce later. The trees all around are getting really green and of course the grass is growing and needs mowing more and more every week.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Terry Anderson, Bethann Bates, Kay Baxter, Carson Bennett, Connie Bonner, L C Bowen, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell, Buffy Farnsworth, Calvin Harris (4 year old son of Jerry and Erin Harris) is taking treatments at St Jude children’s hospital, Cruz Henderson, Labri Kendricks, Martha Hensley, Lyda Mae Hooper, Shirley Howe, Monette King, Colben Ly, Raquel Mallari, Brittany Mash, Linda Mercer, Mike McCann, Jackie McFall, Norene O’Kelly, Betty Odom, Donna Owen, Rocco Pierce, Pam Pullman, Colene Rasbury, Mona Runions, Bill Seiber will have cataract surgery soon, Tyler Seiber, Roy Sharp, Joe Ship, Vickie Skelton, Nell Skelton, Jim Walker, Diane White, Sharon White, and Annette Williams. Please pray for these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday to Baylee Baxter and Wilda Risner the 9th, Pat Carroll, David Gordon, Carol Hinson, William McCann, Ilien Hammack and Malia Bennett the 11th, and Ronald Johnston, Colby Carroll and Melissa Green the 12th. Wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week that I know of Darrel Wayne Young, Michael Alexander Caldwell, Mary Lee Baxter Spurgeon, William Andrew “Drew” Holt, Jerry Wayne “JW” Arnold, Annie “Anne” Lee Staggs, Woodrow Ross, and Jan Walker. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

The children have really enjoyed the warmer weather, and some have even ventured to the creeks and local waterways. The creeks around the area are usually cold the year round but because of the warm atmosphere when it gets really hot they are tolerated and feel good on hot days. It is always nice to walk in the shallow water and cool off some even if you don’t like to swim.

Summer vacation will soon be here for the school children, and I know they are getting excited about that, but for the most part many of them will be bored and want to see their friends within a few weeks.

Prayers for you and your family that you will have a great week and enjoy health and happiness. Remember to spend time with your family if you can for some day they will not be there.

Keep those in mind who are sick and shut-in and visit if you can or call them and send a card if you cannot visit. It always helps them to feel better to know that others care about them.
