Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

Twenty One North is officially On-Air

The eclectic variety shop, Twenty One North, held their "ribbon cuttting" on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Business owner Amanda Curtis was excited to share her new venture with all of her friends who were in attendance.

"Welcome to Twenty One North," said Curtis, "I'm so happy to be here where I grew up."

She went on to talk about some of her fondest memories of when she had her first singing gig right around the corner. With pots and pans, they sang, "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go. We're working for a hamster cage, hi ho."

"I've been on these streets my entire life and I'm really glad that I can have a spot here where I can contribute something to my community," said Curtis. "I think it's an important responsibility we all have as a citizen of this community, is to contribute. So this is my contribution and I hope that you guys will appreciate it as much as I do, and all my weirdness."

In her shop, Curtis features many local vendors such as Elaine's WhatKnots which is macrame creations, Willow Bear Bows which is children's bows, Three Walls Boutique which is boutique clothing, Gloria's Emporium which is sewn quilts, aprons and more, and Bendi's Boutique that has "a little bit of everything."

The shop also features many more various items such as The People's Pantry which has the Loveless Cafe's biscuit mix and fried chicken breading. There's also a corner for pet supplies and accessories, and even gourmet baked goods from Bake on Me.

Instead of the usual ribbon cutting for a new business, Curtis was happy to tie in her musical background with an "On-Air" sign that acts as her open sign.

With one swift click, Twenty One North was officially "On-Air."
