LEAP Graduation Day

LEAP Graduation Day for middle school boys and girls was held recently. They have spent weeks learning about the dangers of social media, drugs, peer pressure, and many more. LEAP (Law Enforcement Awareness Plan) was molded to teach young adults about how to react-cope in many situations that most will come across in the next few years.

After graduation, students were able to watch the City of Hohenwald Police Departments K9's work in finding drugs on vehicles and a simulation of an offender running from our K9/bite dog. "We always enjoy getting out and hanging with our LEAP graduates for the day. We want to thank our wonderful SRO's, the City of Hohenwald, Lewis County Schools, as well as everyone who had a hand in making today a huge success,"said a member of the department.
