Upcoming events at Public Library and Archives

 


The following activities are scheduled for the upcoming week at Lewis County Public Library and Archives:

Cleverlys Community Concert, Friday, July 1, 5 p.m., City Parking Lot, (36 North Maple, Hohenwald, TN 38462) Family fun starts at 5 p.m. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks after concert. Bring a lawn chair. Family fun will include waterslides and other inflatables, Lewis and Clarke Express train rides, and face painting. The Cleverlys are a one-of-a-kind comedy/music blend. They tour nationally, performing at music venues, PAC’S, and some of the nation’s largest festivals like Stagecoach, Telluride, CMA Music Fest and even The Grand Ole Opry. The Summer Community Concert is being held as a part of the 2022 Summer Reading Program: “Oceans of Possibility: Streaming through Lewis County.” Free admission compliments of the City of Hohenwald and Friends of the Lewis County Library.

Preschool Story Time, Tuesday, July 5, 10 a.m. Preschoolers to 1st grade can enjoy fun stories and activities all about the ocean. And the time reading during library programming can be counted toward summer reading points.

Movie Mates & Book Buds, Wednesday, July 6, 2:30 p.m., Movie Mates and Book Buds will be discussing this summer’s book and movie about the young boy who discovers he is the son of the Greek God of the Sea! The similarities, the differences, the influences from the recorded myths and more!

Tween Reading Club, Wednesday, July 6, 3:30 p.m. Tweens who are reading between an intermediate and middle school level can join us to read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne together.

Animalogy, Friday, July 8, 10 a.m., Community Building, Shawna Adams with NHECM’s: Animalogy is coming to show us some of her wonderful animals!
