Brian Peery announces his candidacy for re-election

I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for the office of County Commissioner for the Second District. For those who do not know me, let me take a minute to introduce myself. I am Brian Peery, a life long resident of this county. My wife Melanie, daughter Emelia and myself, live on Cathey's Creek on our family farm. I am employed with the Lewis County School system as an agriculture educator and bus driver. I serve on the Public Safety/Schools Committee as well as the Highway Advisory Committee.

I have said and believe the best human asset of our county is our people, for they are the ones who help guide decisions made for the betterment of our county. During the last three years, we have gone through a very unusual and trying time in our nation; the pandemic, an election, and a war between two nations that has affected our nation and soaring inflation on the goods and services we need in order to carry on with our daily lives. Even though I think some of these ill-effects are filtered out before they get to us, we still feel the pressure around us and I hope you could agree that with all of us working together, our commission, city council and other governing bodies, for the good of Lewis County, we have progressed and moved forward. This is why our people are our best asset.

I humbly ask for your consideration on August 4th and I will continue to work for the betterment of our county for future generations. I am available to speak to you through personal contacts, home phone 931-285-2202 or cell phone 931-215-1736.

Thank you for your time,

Brian Peery
