Main Street Fabrics open for business with new owners

August 4, 2022

New business owners Dawn and Eric Talley have now reopened Main Street Fabrics! Dawn hosted the soft opening alongside her family on Friday, July 29, 2022, where they offered great deals and steals on fabric, thread and much, much more.

The couple has already begun remodeling the shop, but Dawn said there was still a lot to be done as she hopes to turn it into a good place to hang out, similar to the sitcom Friends. But have no fear, she said they plan on keeping fabric, thread, books and the same kind of inventory that was already there.

In fact, they plan on expanding on the existing inventory by offering classes where people can learn how to quilt and sew, and more classes are in the works! The beginning quilting class will be held on Saturdays, starting August 13, a second on August 27 and the third on September 10 from 9:30 in the morning to 12:30 in the afternoon. The sewing class will take place August 20 at 10:00 a.m. where you will learn how to hem and mend.

Dawn also wanted to extend an invitation to local business owners and/or craft-makers to feature their products in the store.

The new store hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 to 6:00, and Saturday from 10:00 to 1:00 if you would like to visit Main Street Fabrics to sign up for a class or to browse the great deals.
