Mrs. Patty Choate generously donated her beautiful handmade quilts to Hohenwald's Davis House Child Advocacy Center to be used as comfort items by the children who visit the advocacy center and tell their story of abuse and/or trauma. Mrs. Choate was the librarian at Lewis County's Public Library and Archives for more than 30 years. She volunteered her time to several local organizations and served on various boards including the very first board for the Lewis County Museum.

One thing was made very clear after speaking with Mrs. Choate's daughter, Cindi Baxter, her mother has a huge heart for our community.

Davis House Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization that serves Lewis, Perry, Hickman and Williamson Counties to help children and their families who are victims of child sexual abuse and/or significant trauma.

The organization consists of trained specialists who are able to aid these children in telling their stories without causing any further trauma in a comforting environment.

If you would also like to donate to our local Davis House Child Advocacy Center, you can get in touch with Director of Services DeAnna Darden-Carroll by phone at 931-796-0813, or by email at [email protected].
