William Leonard Pennington, age 90, of Summertown, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at his residence. He was a native of Henryville, retired from TDOT, and of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Gilbert and Lillian Long Pennington; his wife, Pauline "Polly" Wiley Pennington; and two sisters, Arbidene Foster and Marie Marshall.

He is survived by one son, Jimmy Pennington (Theresa) of Summertown; one sister, Dorothy Orton (Joel) of Pulaski; two grandchildren, Tina Pennington Riley (Nolan) and Todd Pennington (Brandy), both of Summertown; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella Pennington, Ansley Pennington, and Pennington Riley.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg. Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home Monday, August 29, 2022, with Terry Potts officiating. Interment followed at Henryville Cemetery in Lawrence County.
