Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative is continuing their partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority in addressing COVID-19 pandemic hardships by participating in the Community Care Fund program in 2022. MLEC matched funds offered by TVA and distributed $80,000 to charitable organizations ($16,000 in each of the five counties it serves.) Grant recipients include:
Hickman County: Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital ($14,000), Hickman County Senior Citizens Center and Helping Hands of Hickman County ($1000 each).
Lewis County: Lewis County Senior Citizens Center and Lewis County Ministerial Assoc...
