Lewis County Class of 1961 celebrates 61st Reunion

Class of 1961 celebrated their 61st reunion on August 20, 2022 at Kimmins Church of Christ Annex Buiding. Pictured, front, from left, Patricia (Poag) McClain, Jerry Ogg, Patsy (Riley) Hinson, Joyce (Tatum) Hildenbrandt, Kenneth Garrison, Barbara (Peery) Baker, and Charles Talley; back, Jim Hensley, Jim Lawson, Math Russell, Wayne Bates, Mack Holt, Patricia (Sealey) King, Elaine (Craig) Seiber, Jimmy Grinder, Judy (Goodman) Lyles, Shirley (Tharp) Shipp, Glenda (Berry) Spears, Pittman Baker, and Shirley (Jackson) Thurman. Not in picture was Ward (Toby) Overbey.

The Kimmins Church of Christ Annex Building was the perfect setting for the Class of 1961 Reunion, held on August 20, 2022.

The class members enjoyed a brown bag lunch together. Desserts were furnished by a few ladies and they were delicious.

The simple gathering place was filled with laughter, hugs, and reminising about stories from sixty-one years ago. All felt they had been blessed on this day.

Attending the event from out of town were: Wayne Bates from Nunnelly; Gene and Glenda Bessy Spears from Waverly; Johnny and Elaine Craig Seiber from Cottontown; Jerry and Jean Ogg from Columbia; Math and Marsha Russell from Waynesboro; Kenneth and Joyce Garrison from Linden; Judy Goodman Lyles from Symsonia, Kentucky; Mack and Kay Holt from Columbia; and Shirley Jackson from Smyrna.

Those attending from Hohenwald were, Pittman and Barbara Peery Baker, William Ward Overbey, Patricia Poag McClain, Patricia Sealey King, Charles and Joan Talley, Jimmy Grinder, Jim Hensley, Jerry and Joyce Tatum Hildenbrandt, Florine Riley, Jim and Phyllis Lawson, Shirley Tharp Shipp, and Braden and Patsy Riley Hinson.
