We are back to having some warmer weather especially during the day but the nights have also not been as cold as they were a few nights ago. We have had a killing frost and almost anything that can’t stand the cold weather is black and laying on the ground. The weather person has said that we might get some rain this week and it would be welcome, it is really dry around the area.

The annual homecoming was at Pineview this past Sunday and many attended and enjoyed the wonderful lessons offered by Justin Morton and also the wonderful lunch between the services. Thanks to all who came and to those who prepared the meal.

By the end of this month the Halloween season will be over with all the parties, trunk or treat and door knocking for those who still do this. Mostly people have become afraid that someone might try to poison children by putting drugs or other things in the candy which children often do not look close enough to be safe. Please be cautious if you do door to door trick or treat and check their rewards before they have a chance to eat any of it.

The Primetimers group took a trip on Thursday afternoon to Charlotte, Tennessee to an Amish store which also served sandwiches and they made them to your order even to the condiments that was added. Then there was all manner to things to sample and to purchase along with many candies, pies and other delicacies that were homemade and so much more we could have stayed longer but time did not permit. When we left there, we took a trip through Charlotte and saw the old courthouse and the new one and many other buildings which some were over a hundred years old. It was really a good trip and we enjoyed it immensely.

Prayers for those who are shut-in or sick in the hospitals and nursing homes, may they be blessed with better days and better health.
