Malcom F. George was born July 10, 1930 in Michie, Tennessee, the son of the late James Robert and Arbie Farris George.

He was united in marriage to Verlin Horton on July 26, 1951.

Malcom graduated from Michie High School in 1950. He earned an associate degree in Bible from Freed-Hardeman College and a bachelor's degree in Bible from David Lipscomb College. Malcom then attended Harding University where he earned a masters in counseling.
