Contributing Writer

This week has been an excellent weather week, the days were in the sixties and even the low seventies and the nights in the forties and fifties. I could get used to this. Hopefully we will not have any more of the temperatures in the minus numbers. We had some showers off and on during the past week but not any creek raising rains. Children being out of school have enjoyed being able to get outside and not have to be bundled up like a mummy.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Connie Bonner, L C Bowen, Bobby Carroll, Dorothy Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Madison Chappell, Spencer Clark, Peggy Cook, Robert and Pat Dickson, Jerry Edwards, Colleen Farr, Wilburn Franks, Callie Garrison, Verlyn George, Ophelia Green, Calvin Harris, Shirley Howe, Leon Hunter, Terry Kelly, Monette King, Bruce Ligon, Sherry Love, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Linda Mercer, Helen McCann, Mike McCann, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Lonnie Odom, Roger Pace, Rocco Pierce, Pam Pullman, Donna and Pat Qualls, Hattie Roberts, Mona Runions, Russell and Vera Runions, Roy Sharp, Joe Ship, Boyce Sims, Vickie Skelton, Jim Walker, Sharon White, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday Jacie Hinson the 6th, Helen Akridge the 7th, Jack Dickey the 9th, Kala Eastep the 11th, wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Happy late anniversary to Rusty and Monica Dupont the 1st, happy anniversary to Chad and Constance Clayton on the 9th we wish for these couples many more happy years to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week that I know Carroll “Farmer” Bennett, Natasha Scarfe, Douglas Carlton King, Cathy Nell Seiber, Catherine Rosa Broyles, Thomas Harvey Donaldson, and Charley Thomas Talley. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

Wishing for everyone a very happy week filled with happiness and health. Prayers for your family to be safe and have a great week and the beginning of a new year. If you make new year resolutions the keep them simple and things that you can accomplish.

Know many have been traveling and are now at home or soon will be and ready to go back to work or school, the children will be back in school by the end of the week and then in a week or so have another day off. Enjoy your week and help others as you have the opportunity to do so.
