Charles Thomas Talley, born November 11, 1942, passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 80. He was born in Hohenwald to Samuel "Claggett" Talley and Helen Casteel Talley. He was married to Joan Talley.

Charles was one of ten children who graduated from Lewis County High. He said he had to leave after school and moved to North Little Rock to find work. He met and married his wife, Joan. After four years of marriage, he was drafted and did basic training at Fort Campbell. He then went to training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and then to Pleiku, Vietnam for one year.
