School Board Appreciation Week proclaimed

Lewis County Mayor Jonah Keltner and City of Hohenwald Mayor Danny McKnight, front, recently proclaimed the week of January 22-28 as School Board Appreciation Week. Both men are formal educators in Lewis County Schools. Whereas, an excellent public education system is vital to the quality of life of our communities and to the economic development of our State; and

Whereas, school board members represent a tremendous resource as local decision makers, diligently working to meet the challenges of a dynamic world while ensuring that every child receives the services needed for a quality education; and

Whereas, school board members support and appreciate the efforts of students educators, and administrators which have led to Tennessee having the highest graduation rate on record; and
