March 4, 1961 - February 24, 2023

Renita Joan Tenry was born March 4, 1961, to the late James Scott and Elsie (Burns) Scott. She married Jerry Tenry on February 14, 1984, and most recently celebrated 39 years of marriage.

She worked for Lewis County and the City of Hohenwald for 45 years as an Administrative Assistant and most recently worked in the same role with the Lewis County Sheriff's Department. Mrs. Renita passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 24, at the age of 61.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Tenry; daughters, Laneia Murray of Chandler, Arizona, and Katie Tenry of Clarksville; sons, Brian Tenry of Clarksville and Bradley Tenry (Leanne) of Dickson; seven grandchildren, Slade and Eli Murray of Chandler, Arizona, US Marine Hayes Tenry of Okinawa, Japan, Ella Tenry of Dickson, and Logan, Anderson and Lincoln Tenry of Dickson.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 27 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald with Sam Livingston officiating.

Members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Department served as pallbearers.

Burial took place in the Napier Cemetery.
