Well ol’man winter has taken another shot and this one was really cold, on Monday morning it was eighteen degrees at my house and in other areas it was even lower than that. The weather people say that the next few days will be somewhat warmer so let us hope they are right for on Sunday it did not get above thirty-eight all day at least where I was. I hope the fruit trees didn’t get hurt but there was a heavy frost so who can say. Let us hope that with today being the beginning of spring we will have lots of warmer days.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Larry Bates, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Elizabeth Boggs, Dorothy Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Peggy Cook, Robert and Pat Dickson, Verlin George, Ophelia Green, Calvin Harris, Shirley Howe, Monette King, Hannah Kat Love (daughter of Tracy and Sherry), Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Helen McCann, Peggy McCann, Richie McCann, William McCann, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Jarrod Reagan, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, T R Runions, Peggy Sims, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday Kaitlynn Tripp the 25th, Elvis Hammack the 27th, Raymond Runions the 29th, Ian and Brooklynn Carroll the 30th, and Ricky Akridge and Ellie Eastep the 31st, wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week Donald Louis “Johnsy” Johns, Glyn Austin Nance, Samaha McCalister- Crowe, Jeffrey Mark Brackeen, Patricia “Patty” Marie Edgerton, Ralph Walter Wallmier Sr., and Hilda Dean Rosson. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

Please keep in mind that open house for the Reimagining America: The Maps of Lewis and Clark” exhibit which will be opening in Hohenwald on March 26, 2023, at 2 pm. I think this is an amazing exhibit to have in our county and it will be at the depot beginning that day and going through May 6, 2023. There is no charge to see the exhibit and this is history especially for Lewis County.

Praying that you and your family have a great week and are blessed with happiness and health but remember those who are less fortunate and confined to nursing facilities or hospitals. A card or phone call will let them know that someone cares about them, and a visit would be even better.

Spring is here and the woods are alive with color as the dogwoods and red buds which are actually purple as we see them along the way, there are also other shrubs bushes blooming around the area, so take time to enjoy the wonderful world that God has prepared for us to live in.
