Nestled in the rolling hills of Ivy, Virginia is Locust Hill-the home and birthplace of Meriwether Lewis. A short stroll down a quiet country road brings you to the Locust Hill Cemetery, the final resting place for many members of the Lewis family. During the 56th annual gathering of the Lewis and Clark Trail Alliance, a special historical tour of the cemetery offered fascinating insights into the Lewis family. For me, exploring Locust Hill was one of the most memorable moments of the event.
