James "Monk" Dalton Gray, age 86 of Hohenwald, passed away July 22, 2020 at AHC Lewis County.

He was born in Lewis County at the Boyce Clinic on February 6, 1934 to the late Lester and Idell Gray.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his son, James Michael Gray; a sister, Marylene Gray; and a brother, Guyton Gray.

Mr. Gray leaves behind his daughter, Connie Carneal of Columbia; brother, Talmas Gray of Columbia; sister, Winnie Lawson of Hohenwald; grandchildren, April and Dalton Gray of Hohenwald and Tracy King of Huntsville, Alabama; four great grandchildren; a...
