Fellow veterans, community leaders, friends and family members gathered together at Joe Avenue on Saturday, October 17, 2020 to dedicate the street in memory of SP/4 Rodger E. McDonald.

SP/4 McDonald, a dedicated public servant, passed away suddenly on October 16, 2019. He served in the Army 5th Infantry and was a Purple Heart recipient.

After his military time, McDonald became a service member for the Veterans Administration as a VA Benefits Officer.

He assisted over 50 veterans of the community with receiving their benefits.
