The Lewis County High School Panthers baseball team hosted the Waverly Tigers on Tuesday, March 23 for a District 11AA matchup.

Maddox Cagle was the starting pitcher for the Panthers and made quick work of the Tigers in the first, sitting down the visitors in order on seven pitches. Slade Moseley reached on a two-out error by the third baseman and quickly stole second and third, and Cagle was hit by a pitch, but the Panther baserunners were left aboard and the score was 0-0 after one complete.
