David Gilbert Barnes, 78 of Hohenwald, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 26, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on April 3, 1943 in Lewis County to the late Johnny and Mamie (Porter) Barnes. Along with his parents ,he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Kilpatrick; brothers, Richard Barnes, Thomas Barnes, James Barnes, and Lonnis Barnes; and sisters, Ida Akers, Neomi Whitehead, and Carolyn Miller.

He married his true love, Joyce Elaine Clayton, and together raised two beautiful girls and made a lifetime of memories. In 1...
