The descendants of John Talley will hold a reunion on July 23, 2022, at the Lomax Church of Christ, 320 Darbytown Road, Hohenwald. The theme of the event is “deep roots, many branches”, a testament to the many families that share a link with John Talley.

John Talley was born in 1760 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. During the Revolutionary War, he served in the Continental Army as a dragoon assigned to the 3rd Continental Light Dragoons. He fought at the Battle of Yorktown and saw further service in the Southern Campaign until the end of the war.
