LCHS Top Ten

 

Chloe Reanne Dye earned the spot of Valedictorian for the Lewis County Class of 2022. She is the daughter of Allen and Becky Dye and the late Amanda Dye.

Chloe plans to attend MTSU to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and graduate with an honors minor.

While in high school, she was a member of the National Beta Club, Class of 2022 Vice-President for three years, HOSA President for one year, National Health Association Certified EKG Technician, OSHA - 10 certified, and won first place in the HOSA Medical Reading Competition at state level. She graduated with honors, distinction and as a Tennessee Star Scholar.

"I am an avid reader, and I also enjoy writing as well as other creative projects. I have cheered on the football cheerleading squad for seven years, and have loved being involved with school activities. Most of all, I love spending time with my friends and family," Chloe said.

Salutatorian was Jon Lower III. He is the son of David and Wendy Collom.

His future plans are to become a United States Marine and give his all towards his service and new experiences.

Jon received a CIW Web Foundations Certification, an NCCER Certification, and acquired an Assistant Supervisor position at Oliver Technologies Incorporated.

He enjoys collecting a large variety of swords and knives as well as camping and playing video games.

Ranking third in the class was Katelyn Elise Whitwell, daughter of Dustian and Brittany Whitwell and Krystal Powell.

She plans to attend ETSU to major in microbiology, minor in change making and go pre-med. She hopes to get into medical school and go on to be a cosmetic surgeon.

Katelyn is a Tri-Star scholar, ETSU Honors college member, FBLA Sargent-in-Arms, and various academic awards.

She enjoys exploring the outdoors, painting and crafting, running, taking care of her plants and playing video games.

Allison Lovett, daughter of Eric Lovett and Jessica Lovett, ranked fourth in her class.

She plans to attend MTSU in the fall and major in psychology so she can work in a field where shes helping others.

Allison was the president of FBLA, Class Treasurer, and she graduated with honors and distinction.

She loves hanging out with friends and family and also enjoys working as a waitress to meet new people and serve others.

Ranking fifth in the class was Kaden Salyers. He is the son of Christopher and Jennifer Salyers.

He plans to go to college and pursue a master's in biology. Kaden was a Beta Club member, Tri-Star Scholar, and has state distinction.

He enjoys playing video games, art, and hanging out with his friends.

Luke Lawson, son of Evan and Abbe Lawson, earned the sixth spot in his class.

He plans on attending the University of Memphis and major in psychology.

Luke was a Questbridge finalist, received class awards in US History Psychology, Tennessee History and sociology.

He enjoys playing basketball, playing video games and reading.

Ranking seventh was Piper Rose Belvin. She's the daughter of Becki Naylor.

Piper plans to attend Tennessee Tech and study psychology. She received a CB&S Bank Scholarship, Jones Hometown Pharmacy Scholarship, Captain Jessica Carroll Wright Memorial Scholarship, Pete Harris Memorial Scholarship, MLEC Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship at TN Tech, was a member of the Beta Club, a Tri-Star Scholar, state distinction and ACT Honor.

Piper enjoys shopping, singing, playing in the band and playing softball.

Kaylee Crowell, daughter of Amanda Crowell and the late Donnie Crowell ranked eighth in her class.

She plans to attend UNA and get her BSN. Kaylee had a ACT recognition, was in the National Beta Club, a Tri-Star Scholar and graduated with state distinctions.

Kaylee enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and baking.

Ranking ninth in the class was Kael Feichtinger. He is the son of Kevin and Brandi Feichtinger.

Kael plans to attend Tennessee Tech for Civil Engineering. He is a member of the All-State Football team, received the Collier Engineering Scholarship and Highland Oil Corporation Scholarship.

He enjoys hunting, fishing and playing sports.

Adilyn Joy Staggs, daughter of Brian and Christa Staggs, ranked tenth in her class.

She plans to attend Columbia State for two years and then transfer to Wallace State to earn a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Adilyn graduated with state distinction, TN Scholar, TN Promise, received a Columbia State Foundation Scholarship, and two academic awards in ASL and Creative Writing.

She enjoys hanging out with friends and family, adventuring in nature, serving in the community and meeting new people.
