Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative is seeking a qualified individual for our Humphreys County, Tennessee office.

JOURNEY LINEWORKER OR HIGH STEP APPRENTICE LINEWORKER

Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of experience in the electric utility business and have experience in climbing poles, operating digger and bucket trucks, line construction and maintenance, and system feeders. Applicants must be able to safely handle primary and secondary voltages using protective equipment. Completion of a certified apprenticeship program is required of journey lineworker. High Step apprentices should be able to pull standby within six months and be enrolled or have been enrolled in a qualified apprentice program.

Applicants must reside within Humphreys County or within the MLEC service territory and within 30 minutes of the Humphreys County office. A Class A CDL is required or must be obtained within six months of hire. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
