The Lewis County Middle school golf team travelled to Centerville Municipal Golf Course for a match with teams from Hickman County Middle, East Hickman Middle, and Fairview on Thursday, August 11th.

In boys’ play Lewis County was dominant, firing a team total of 68 which was good enough for first place on the day. Hickman County finished the day in second with a team score of 76, East Hickman was third with a score of 78, and Fairview finished the day with an 88 and in fourth place. Nolan Whitehead led the Panthers with a score of 21, Bo Banks finished with a 22, River Carroll a 25, Blayne Pinckley a 26, and Ryder Ward a 33.

Girls’ play was only individual on the day as Lewis County was the only squad with enough members to take a team score. Individually for the Lady Panthers Linley Harris brought in a 23, good enough for low-medalist on the girls’ side. Kayclyn WIlliams finished with a 27, and Anna Kate Jones had a 32 on the afternoon.

The Lewis County Middle School golf team hosted an early week match at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course on Monday, August 15th against Linden and Lobelville.

In boys’ play Lewis County’s boys’ team came in first on the afternoon, posting a team score of 78. Linden finished second on the day with an 82, and Lobelville third with an 88. Bo Banks was the low scorer for the Panthers, carding a 23, River Carroll finished the match with a 27, Nolan Whitehead and Blayne Pinckley each had a 28, and Ryder Ward finished with a 32.

In girls’ action the Linden Middle girls’ team finished the match in first with a team score of 48, Lewis County finished two strokes back with a 50 and in second place, and Lobelville came in third on the afternoon with a 57. Linley Harris was the low scorer for the Lady Panthers, finishing with a 24, Kayclyn Williams carded a 26, and Anna Kate Jones a 34.
