On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, the Lewis County Sheriff's Department was working patrol in the area of Metal Ford Road and Summertown Highway when deputies observed a known subject, with active felony warrants for arrest, on a motorcycle coming off Metal Ford Road.

Deputies activated emergency equipment, attempting to conduct a traffic stop, when the subject fled deputies on the motorcycle. The subject fled from deputies starting on Summertown Highway.
