The Lewis County Middle School golf team traveled to the Tennessee River Golf Club to compete against teams from Linden, Lobelville, and Waynesboro on Friday, September 9th.

In boys’ team action Linden finished the day in first place at 75, edging out Waynesboro who finished second with a 76, Lobelville finishing third at 77, and Lewis County fourth at 79, only four strokes off the lead. Nolan Whitehead and River Carroll each ended their rounds with a 25, Ryder Ward carded a 29, Bo Banks a 32, and Blayne Pinckley a 33.

In girls’ action Lewis County ended the day in first with a 48, tied with Linden, and Lobelville finished in third with a team score of 53. Waynesboro did not have enough girls to compete as a team. Kayclyn Williams brought home the low score for the Lady Panthers, shooting a 23, Linley Harris shot a 25, and Anna Kate Jones a 30. Kayclyn Williams finished tied for low-medalist in the match.
