Shirley King

Shirley Ann Talley King passed from this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the age of 87. She was born on October 17, 1935, in Lewis County to the late Inez Brown and Elisha Talley.

Shirley was married to the late Jack Wesley King on November 10, 1956. She was a faithful member of the Flatrock Church of Christ. She worked at Genesco shoe factory, Armstrong Pie Factory, and Lewis County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was an active member of the ladies home demonstration club, Town and Country. Shirley was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother.

Those left to grieve her passing include her daughter, Rhonda King Curry, of Columbia; her granddaughter, Jillian Curry (Evan Hudson) of Nashville; and her brother, Garry Van Talley, of Hohenwald, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home with funeral at 3:00 p.m. and graveside service following at Downey Cemetery.
