November 27, 1952

Minnie Evans resigned as Clerk of the Lewis County Selective Service board effective December 31. Evans had served as Clerk since 1948. O.E. Marbet, local board chair, announced that applications were being accepted for a replacement.

R.K. Roney was named Chairman of the Lewis County Crusade for Freedom campaign. The campaign sought to raise funds for the support of Radio Free Europe and Radio Free Asia, privately owned networks which beamed factual material to countries behind the “Iron Curtain.”
