VFW Written Essay Competition winners

Lewis County Middle School students recently participated in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Essay Competition. This program is conducted nationwide. The VFW sponsored youth essay competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. This year's theme was "My Pledge to our Veterans." Students were required to show a thorough knowledge of the theme in their work and demonstrate how they researched the issue extensively.
