439 East Main Street became the new home to long-time restaurant, Pizza Hut. On Thursday, January 5, 2022, the team opened the doors to their new location between McDonald's and Subway. "This location is in the center of the fast food hub. It's a better fit for us and our customers," said General Manager Tammy Pate. "When the buffet closed 3 years ago, our need for space downsized dramatically. The new location is a more updated version of Pizza Hut, more efficient for accommodating to better serve our customers in a timely manner, and it offers a drive-through!"

Tammy went on to say, "I relocated to Hohenwald from Columbia when I was offered the General Manager position at this store in June of 2022. It was the best decision I could have made. I have had the pleasure of hearing all the great memories people experienced at the previous location since it opened in 1991 and am looking forward to creating new memories here as well. This new Pizza Hut belongs to the town, and this town is like family."

When you spend half your life in a place, that place becomes home, and the people in it become family. From delivery driver to assistant manager, prep, line cook and dish washer, employee, Jamie Reeves, has held many titles since she first started working at Pizza Hut 16 years ago. "This may just be a building to most, but I have spent nearly half my life here," Reeves said. "It was my first job when I was 16, I'm now 32. Pizza sauce runs through these veins, and I'll be walking in with my can at 70."
