Charges placed following accident

On January 7, 2023 Brad Lawson wrecked his Dodge Charger on West Main in Hohenwald and struck the "Welcome to Hohenwald" sign.

Trooper Thomas Bayless stated in his report that, "Mr. Lawson was involved in a crash. He had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. He was unsteady on his feet and stated he had two. He would not follow my finger, walked and turned, stopped off the line and raised his arms and stopped. He did not finish the task, did not attempt one leg stand. I placed him under arrest and he refused a blood test. I obtained a search warrant for his blood."
