The U.S. National Weather Service announced Thursday, February 23, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the temperature at Nashville reached 85 degrees. According to the National Service, “This sets a new record for the month of February as it is the earliest in the year Nashville has reached 85 degrees. Before today, March 12, 1967 was the earliest date for an 85 degree reading.
