LCHS Lady Panthers travel to Richland

The LCHS Lady Panthers traveled to Richland on Friday, March 24 to take on the Richland Lady Raiders.

Lewis County went down in order to start the game, and Kinlee Keltner took the mound to start for the Lady Panthers. Keltner ran into trouble early as Richland was able to string together 5 walks, an error, and two hits around a couple of outs to plate five runs before Addie Morgan came on in relief. Morgan gave up a pair of doubles before getting out of the inning and the Lady Raiders took a 9-0 lead. Lewis County went down in order in the second. Morgan would allow one Richland run in the second and the Lady Panthers trailed by ten. Olivia Smith led off the third with Lewis County’s first hit and would work her way around to score during Gabii Ortiz at-bat to make it 10-1 Richland. Morgan pitched a scoreless third, and in the top of the fourth Faith Wishaw was left stranded in scoring position following a two-out double. Richland would load the bases on Morgan in the home fourth and, with one out, scored four. Kerrigan Reeves came on in relief of Morgan with bases loaded and one down, and got out of the inning with only one run scoring but Richland ahd pulled out to a 15-1 lead. Lewis County was held scoreless in the fifth and took the loss 15-1.

Kinlee Keltner went two-thirds of an inning while giving up 8 runs, 1 earned, on 2 hits, 5 walks,and 1 strikeout. Addie Morgan 7 runs (4 earned), 4 hits, 5 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Kerrigan Reeves two-thirds of an inning, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
