11th Annual Springfest This Weekend

 

Happening this weekend is the 11th Annual Hohenwald Springfest! May 5 & 6, Memorial Park will transform into a festival grounds where there will be entertainment for all ages!

The host, Friends of the Library, invites everyone to visit Springfest this year to see returning and new vendors. All craft vendor booths will be outside under the new 60’x70’ covered pavilion with gifts for graduation, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and more! Attend the opening ceremony Friday, May 6th at 11 a.m. with special guests and performers.

On Saturday, enjoy the events’ first ever Springfest Storytellers Contest, and win a cake at the Cakewalk Contest!

“We are excited to have a Storytellers Contest on Friday,” said Kelly Medford, “and a traveling vaudeville-style magic show performance by Show of Wonder on Saturday. Elks Lodge is hosting a breakfast on Saturday morning, and we’ll have face painting and food trucks too!”

Open hours for this year’s Springfest are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5th and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th.

A $5 voucher to spend at any craft booth will be given away to the first 50 visitors to the Friends of the Library Welcome Station each day! And, as always, parking and admission is free! For more information, including a list of 2023 vendors, visit their website at
