On January 5, 2010, approximately 80 appraisers across the state gathered to finalize the establishment of the Tennessee Appraiser Coalition. Prior to that date, Tennessee licensed and certified appraisers had always been known for expertise in real estate value analysis, but they lacked the ability to combine their voices pertaining to public policy changes and meaningful interaction with other state coalitions. Since it began on that date, the TAC became a great force in our state involving appraisal related issues referenced in policies and procedures at various times.
